Quilts of Valor

Our Quilts of Valor is just beginning but I am very hopeful that it will flourish and continue for many years. Quilts of Valor are made for our wounded soldiers to show them that someone thinks enough of their sacrifice to make them a quilt. They are purely donation quilts made with donated fabric, batting, backing, quilting, time and love.

We have a direct contact at The Walter Reed Medical Hospital and the Chaplin hands them out to soldiers. Having this contact makes me feel confident that the quilts we send are getting to those who need and will appreciate them the most. It is one small thing I can do. The shop is open for sewing the 2nd Friday of the month from 10 to 8pm.  Contact Kathy at (763) 784-7166 for more info.

Block of the Month November 2011-2012

Join us for Marilyn Foreman's Garden of Enchantment Block of the Month. Marilyn's incredible kaleidoscopes quilts are spectacular. Paired with the Garden Of Enchantment fabric from Maywood Studios this quilt will make this an incredible project. The block of the month group will meet the second Thursday of each month starting in November of 2011. There will be a day group and a night group. The first month will feature Marilyn as a guest speaker to lead us through the cutting details of the Kaleidoscopes. An email announcement will be sent when the sign-up begins.

We are almost finished with the Block of the Month designed by Lori Smith from My Heart to Your Hands. Watch for details on our next Block of the Month Program that should be starting sometime this fall

Tonga Block of the Month Quilt Club
